| For the first time ever and exclusively through The International Academy, young soccer players from around the world can train and play alongside experienced coaches from the world's most famous soccer clubs. Train with professional coaches from the club of your choice, compete against players from other countries, and discover the cultural and historical heritage of your host country. OVERVIEW The most complete soccer program For both youth teams and individual players, The International Academy soccer program is designed for all levels of ability, both male and female, to play and train with experienced coaches from around the world. The Academy program is designed to give young soccer players the opportunity to work in the same environment as their heroes and role models. It's focus is on the enjoyment of the game, on learning the way different nations embrace soccer. This unique soccer training and development program offers an opportunity to better yourself as a player and gain valuable experience under the direction of some of world's finest coaches. Work on your personal skills, and develop your team's strength as well. COACHING The most unique part of The International Academy program is the opportunity to work with professional coaches from the club of your choice. All the coaches involved in this program have been specially selected by each club for their expertise and experience. They are all qualified to the highest appropriate national standard. However, it is not just a qualification that makes a good coach, just as it is not simply technical skills which makes a good player. A good coach is one who also has teaching skills, organizational skills and teamwork abilities. These are the qualities we seek in each of the carefully selected coaches who are part of this program. The club coaches will not take over the role of the team's own coach, but will contribute and bring another perspective to the game. In partnership with the team coach, they will work together improving both individuals and the team as a whole. One of the greatest constraints on a coach is the limited time he/she has with each individual player and the team as a whole. The chance of going away with his/her team to work intensively together opens up unlimited possibilities. PLAYING The aim of the soccer program is not primarily to play matches /tournaments. By definition they produce winners and losers. The International Academy's soccer program aims to make everyone a winner. By the end of it, youths involved should be better players with new skills and an improved understanding of the game. Soccer is a competitive sport and it is important that young players have an opportunity to test their newly acquired skills against other players of a similar age and standard. The coaches will have maximum input into the prearranged games against equivalent standard opponents. A game may for instance be divided into four quarters instead of two halves in order for him/her to analyze each session with the participants, switch players and tactics around for the next session. The aim of the matches is not to win but to develop the team and the individual players. At youth level, focus should be on developing a better player with strong mental skills, more than on competitiveness and tournaments. This underlies the focus of the program- enjoyment, education and development of the game. TRAVELING Young players who go on these courses will not only have the opportunity to visit leading soccer clubs and improve their soccer skills, but just as important are the factors that surround the courses. By visiting the clubs, you get to travel to other countries, even other continents. You will experience completely different cultures and places. Not only will you learn about the passion for soccer, but also the history of the country you choose to visit. Each country and club has so much to offer and the potential for learning is enormous. Traveling together as a team, experiencing all these great places and events is bound to forge very strong bonds between not only teams that go, but also between individuals who happen to be on the same course at the same time. Lifelong friendships may start in this special atmosphere. Experiencing other cultures, nations and countries can be a life-changing experience. Each player will benefit from the trip on many levels of their life. An additional advantage of the courses, is that all these wonderful experiences take place in a safe and controlled environment.
