Family First Sports Park introduces dryland diving training and lessons, directed by Head Coach, Tim Kuzma. Tim has over 25 years of experience coaching, training and managing divers from beginner to the Olympic level. He is the only certified trampoline and dry-board coach in the area.

• Erie’s only dryland diving and trampoline training center
• Open to ages 5-55 years of age
• Diving and trampoline lessons for the beginner or the high school diver who wants to learn or improve a skill
• Diving training for the regional and national level divers
• Group and Individual Classes are forming now. Class times will be scheduled on an individual basis.

Visit the Family First Golf Dome on Tuesday, November 16th from 6-7:30pm for a sneak peak of the new training center at Family First Sports Park.

The dryland center operates as an on-going program designed to teach the skills of springboard diving. Physical, mental, and emotional skills are developed for the sport of diving. Our training center offers complete training for the athlete. More importantly, the skills developed in our program will be used by the athlete in every area of the athlete’s life. We teach athlete to meet the challenges of diving with courage, focus, and determination

Many diving teams use dryland facilities for more than 75% of their practice sessions and a trend has developed over the last 10 years for clubs to have a separate facility for this type of training method. Dryland training involves using a trampoline, or diving board with a port-a-pit or landing pit. In conjunction with the trampoline or dryland board is a spotting belt and ropes that allow the divers to spin or twist while held in the air by a certified coach acting as the spotter. Using a spotting apparatus allows the diver to practice a dive in a safe and efficient manner.
