The Blizzard Cup is for premier soccer teams ages U9–U19. The tournament will feature some of the best boys and girls soccer teams in the United States and Canada. The 2004 DQ Blizzard Cup will be held at the host venue of Family First Sports Park.

This is a US CLUB Soccer event. USYSA teams are permitted to participate.

All FINALS will be held on Monday May 31st 2004. Team and individual awards will be given to champions and runners up.

The Housing & Conference Center features two big-screen TV lounges and a Clubhouse filled with arcade games, pool tables, air hockey and much more. This complex, located on-site, has 116, air-conditioned rooms—it is an ideal place to stay if you’re traveling from out-of-town, because it is within walking distance from everything on our entire campus, which eliminates fighting the traffic.

The sponsorship of the event will tie-in Dairy Queen’s Erie area operators, who are in some cases second generation owners who have lived in the area for more than 40-50 years. The Dairy Queen owners/operators saw the impact
the event had on this area over the past few years (this years event is estimated to bring in 1.5 million dollars into the local economy) and
decided to do something about it. The sponsorship of the event also coincides with the Grand Opening of Dairy Queen’s newest location at Family First Sports Park itself. A regional campaign to help make the event one of the most sought after events in the country will include actvities and events both on and off-site to help brand it.

The tournament staff will do their best to insure your time spent at the Family First Sports Park is an enjoyable experience. Pedro Argaez and John Sikora are the Tournament Directors; Jen Hart is the Tournament Registrar.

Application forms for teams participating in the Blizzard Cup must be received by March 1, 2004. Acceptance letters will be mailed out by March 15, 2004. The 2004 tournament schedules will be mailed out by May 7. Housing information will be sent with your acceptance information. Housing is a first come, first served basis, so please make your reservations early!
