The mission of the Pennsylvania Premier Alliance League is to develop a cooperative organization, dedicated to providing the highest level of soccer training and soccer competition to the youth of Pennsylvania. Our mission is to
provide coaching at the highest level possible along with a firm committment to the technical training of our younger players. By insisting upon having only the most competitive
teams within our league we will assure our children of the first class games necessary for the practice of previously learned skills in a competitive environment. We will form select teams from within the organization to compete on a national and international level in order to promote the youth of Pennsylvania in the sport of soccer. The Pennsylvania
Premier Alliance will register and play within the auspices of the US Club Soccer, which is an affiliate of the United States Soccer Federation.
Sanction and Affiliation
The PPA Open Cup is sanctioned by US Club Soccer, an affiliate member of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). No US Club Soccer teams will be required to obtain travel permission to participate, but all non-US Club Soccer teams must satisfy their own state travel obligations.
The P.P.A. Open Cup
is for soccer players aged U9-U14 for the 2005-2006 playing season. The tournament will feature some of the best boys and girls soccer teams in the United States and Canada. This is a US Club Soccer Event. It is open to all USYSA and US Club Soccer Teams that are in good standing. The tournament fees are $370 per team ages U11-U14 and $320 for U9 & U10 teams.
Teams and Rosters
Each team registered for the tournament will be allowed a maximum of 18 players (U 9 & U10 maximum 14 players.) A maximum of four guest players will be allowed for all age groups.
Games
Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of three games which will be played on Saturday and Sunday. All finals will be played on Sunday. Individual and team awards will be given to champions and runners-up.
