LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR

Thank you for your interest in the leadership Institute at Family First Sports Park. We are dedicated to excellence and client service in all that we do. We are delighted at the possibility of partnering with you in training.

Our greatest asset is our FLEXIBILITY. We have the ability to offer traditional classroom-based or speaker-centered training, or we can work from a much more open, experienced-based format. Often we combine these two approaches. We offer training in a variety of lengths: half-day, full-day, multi-day. We can combine our training with yours, or work as a part of meeting or gathering you are having. We provide training at our site, where we have meeting rooms, lodging, a cafeteria, and fixed-site elements available. Our fixed-site elements include a low ropes coarse, 34 foot rock climbing wall, high ropes elements, an Alpine Tower ( think vertical ropes coarse!), and a culinary school. We can also train off-site, at a location chosen by you.

Although we have program designs and outlines, we know that each situation and set of needs is different. We custom develop programs in response to the specific needs of our clients.

Our costs vary depending on the type of workshop, the length of the workshop, size of the group, type of the assessment needed, follow-up desired, and a variety of other factors.

We prefer to work with a group of 12-18, although we have worked with groups as small as 5 or as large as 175.

The Leadership Institute of Family First Sports Park, provides classroom-based and experienced-based leadership training, both on and off site. Our training results in increased leadership awareness and enhanced group effectiveness.

MEET THE DIRECTOR

Dr. James Rimmer is the director of the Leadership Institute at Family First Sports Park in Erie. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Western Maryland College, a Master's of Divinity in Pastoral Counceling from Princeton Theological Seminary. He is a candidate for a Ph.D. in pastoral ministry from Southwest Bible College and Seminary. Rimmer, a Presbyterian Church (USA) minister, served as a chaplain in the U.S. Army Reserves and is a combat veteran of Operation Desert Storm, where he earned the Bronze Star for exceptional service. He has 27 years experience in successful leading renewal efforts for declining churches and non-profit organizations. He believes passionately in leadership, and sees leadership development as the key, both to self-development, and to the development of organizations and teams.

Dr. Rimmer is a national champion martial artist. He holds a 7th degree Master Black Belt Ranking in Tae Kwon Do and a 5th degree master in Black Belt Ranking in Yee Chong Mu Gow. In a three year period he coached Martial arts students and teams to 14 national championship titles.
